Reconnect with yourself and others
Through life’s inevitable struggles and challenges, we can lose sight of who we really are and what we want.
We work with you to understand your past and current challenges. And together, we’ll find a path towards your desired future.
We create a safe space for you to:
Understand yourself and what you need
Build safety in connection with others
Develop a more positive and realistic mindset
Create self-awareness and healthy boundaries
Develop practices and routines of self-care to sustain and nourish you
Take control of your life.
Because everyone deserves to be heard, understood and empowered.
Step back into the driver’s seat
We provide a safe space for you to share what is most important to you, and be seen and heard without judgement. We help you identify the thoughts, beliefs and feelings holding you back from life and connecting with others.
We combine evidence-based strategies with a holistic lens, understanding you as the unique person you are. We’ll work out where you’ve been and where you want to go.
For over 25 years, we’ve supported individuals and couples through trauma, relationship and life-stage challenges. Everyone responds differently, so together we’ll explore what counselling can realistically look like for you.
It starts with you.
We welcome you into our inclusive space.
The door is open – so step on in.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to therapy. Everyone is unique, with unique experiences which require a unique approach.
We’ll never try to place one particular therapy on your experience. We’d rather get to know you, understand your background and experience. Where you’ve come from and where you want to be.
It starts with you.
We focus on
Trauma
Mental health
Neurodiversity
Relationships
Chronic stress and burnout
Grief and loss

Touchstone Counselling
What happens in a first counselling session?
The first session is about getting to know you: what’s brought you in, your background, and what you’d like to be different. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. Together we’ll map out where you want to go and how we might get there.
Do you offer counselling online or in person?
Both. We see clients in person at our practice in The Gap, Brisbane, and online via telehealth anywhere in Australia.
How much does a session cost, and are rebates available?
We’ll confirm current fees when you enquire. Depending on your situation you may be able to use a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan, NDIS, WorkCover, DVA or private health cover. We’ll talk through what applies to you before you book.
What issues do you work with?
Trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship and attachment difficulties, chronic stress and burnout, grief and loss, neurodiversity, and life transitions, among others.
Are you a crisis service?
No. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000. For immediate support, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.
