Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

I’m a Mental Health Social Worker with a strong background in both adult and child and adolescent mental health. Over the years, I’ve worked across hospital, community and mental health services supporting people through some of the most challenging times in their lives. My focus has always been on helping individuals and families feel understood, supported and empowered to move forward.

I have experience working with adults, young people and families experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, behavioural difficulties, relationship stress and the impact of domestic and family violence. I’ve worked within multidisciplinary mental health teams across Queensland Health, providing assessment, care planning and therapeutic support for people living with complex and severe mental illness.

A large part of my work has involved supporting children and young people through Child and Youth Mental Health Services. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how mental health challenges affect not just the individual, but the whole family system.

I’m particularly passionate about helping families strengthen communication, rebuild trust and develop practical strategies that support everyone’s wellbeing.

For me, counselling is about walking alongside people during difficult moments and helping them rediscover their strengths, build resilience and move toward a more hopeful future.

My approaches:

My approach to counselling is warm, collaborative and culturally respectful.

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, strengths-based practice, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy and mindfulness strategies.

I aim to create a safe and supportive space where people feel comfortable exploring what’s happening in their lives and building skills that help them cope with challenges and grow in confidence.

Providing Services For:
