Hi, I’m Sandiya.

I am a Masters-qualified psychotherapist and counsellor with a deep interest in intergenerational trauma and family systems. These perspectives inform how I understand distress, resilience, and the patterns that shape our lives and relationships.

My work is grounded in relational, humanistic values and draws on Rogerian, Gestalt, DBT, and CBT approaches. Rather than fitting clients into a model, I adapt my work to meet each person where they are.

Sandiya Poovannan - Counsellor

At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing happens in relationship. I aim to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can reflect, explore, and be truly heard. As a steady sounding board, I sit alongside you—supporting insight, emotional awareness, and meaningful change.
I believe that when one person begins to heal, it creates a ripple effect that touches families, relationships, and future generations.
